Software Developer (.NET - Core/Middle Tier)


We are looking for a Software Developer (.NET - Core/Middle Tier) to join our team!  The successful applicant will have expert analytical and programming skills, and expertise with middle tier development and also able to work under tight deadlines.

What you’ll get to do:
  • Learn and adhere to internally established SDLC practices.
  • Work on each assigned project in close collaboration with the assigned project team; includes members from the Product, Architecture, Development, Database and QA Groups.
  • Design before implementing code; create prototypes, draw diagrams, analyze existing code, consult peers, research external sources.
  • Produce high-quality code; readable, modular, efficient, elegant, scalable and documented.
  • Test code thoroughly prior to submitting builds to QA.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, standards compliance, re-usability and ease of maintenance.
  • Communicate status and provide timely escalation of issues to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintain a sense of urgency during project execution.
  • Keep current with emerging technologies relating to software development.
Who you are:
  • You have a University or college diploma in computer science or a related field.
  • Your Work Experience:
    • Developer: 4 to 7 years of experience in development.
  • You have 3 or more years of work experience with C# and the .NET Framework in a team environment.
  • You have a solid experience applying .NET, C#, SQL to real-world projects.
  • You have a solid experience developing all software tiers; presentation, business, data.
  • You have a solid experience in database development.
  • You have a solid experience working in a full SDLC environment.
  • You have a solid experience in writing unit tests and integration tests.
  • You have a solid experience in design principles and patterns.
  • You have experience using source control systems (SCM/Git).
  • You have experience in agile environment;
  • You have passion for building quality software systems.
  • You have disposition to collaborate as opposed to working alone.
  • You are ability to clearly communicate ideas to others.
  • You have excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • You have experience deploying .Net Core to Linux and/or Windows and different cloud systems.
Technical Knowledge
  • C#, .NET Framework 4.5/4.7, .NET Core 3.x, NHibernate/Entity Framework, Microsoft Visual Studio, Web API, Autofac/other IOC, MS SQL Server, NServiceBus, NUnit, xUnit, SAML
  • Microsoft Azure;
  • MCSD is an asset;
  • Basic knowledge of Docker
  • Basic knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS)
